Specialised trike for Matei

The trike has given Matei some independence of movement which is highly beneficial to his physical and emotional well-being.

Matei was born with a rare genetic muscular disorder central core disease causing hypotonia – decreased muscle tone and weakness.  He is now 3 years old and unable to walk.  When Matei tried a specialised trike his mum said his face lit up and he was speechless.  Elifar fully funded the equipment which cost £1,858.
