Lighweight wheelchair allows rest for Isabelle

Elifar contributed £2,000 towards the purchase of a light-weight, easily maneuverable wheelchair.

Isabelle is 9 years old and suffers from uncontrolled epilepsy and can have up to 100 seizures a day.  Any physical activity can trigger a seizure and the more she has the worse they get.  Walking even a short distance can be a trigger and Isabelle will just drop to the floor. Elifar contributed £2,000 towards the purchase of this light-weight, easily maneuverable wheelchair costing around £5,000.  The recline function enables Isabelle to rest after a seizure and helps with her breathing.  Her mum says “We are so proud of Isabelle.  Every day her brain and body go through so much and she just gets on with it.  She is an amazing little girl”.
