Magnificent Tomcat Trike for Rhys

Elifar pledged £1100 alongside another charity to fund the necessary £2192 for this magnificent Tomcat Trike for Rhys, aged 5. Rhys is non-verbal with high sensory needs and was diagnosed with ASD in 2022. His sensory needs and cognitive function don’t always allow him to manage family walks as it can be overwhelming and over stimulating, resulting in him refusing to walk and having to be strapped into a buggy.

The Tomcat offers a lightweight transportable frame, special pads for postural support and very crucially is specially designed to provide carer controls. Being on the trike makes him smile, keeps him safe and includes him in family activity. It develops his gross motor skills, stimulates his sensory needs whilst supporting his physical and mental health.
